Dreaming God’s Dream: Bridging the Gap Together

No dream too big, no gift too small:

This Sunday, November 16th, we celebrate the ways our collective gifts are transformed into action to bridge gaps and build hope right here in our “Quiet Corner.” We are absolutely delighted to welcome Carl Asikainen, the Executive Director of the Thompson Ecumenical Empowerment Group (TEEG), as our special guest speaker and partner. Carl has been a part of our local community for over 20 years. With a deep background in social service, he was appointed as the Executive Director of TEEG in August 2024. Carl’s entire career has been dedicated to helping those in need, starting with street outreach in Philadelphia and later working to connect vulnerable populations with food assistance programs across Connecticut. Carl's vision is centered on listening to local needs. During worship, Carl will share his story and an inspirational message about the power of working together and the courage it takes to sustain God's dream, even when the needs seem overwhelming. Our readings will be Nehemiah 2:17-20 and 1 Corinthians: 3:10-11.
