REACHing New Horizons - Forgiven, Forgiving, Freed

Peace be with you. I’m excited to invite you to the start of a new worship series beginning this Sunday: Path to Peace — A Journey of Forgiveness and Healing.

This series follows our recent Trust series and continues the work of rebuilding trust—first in our hearts, then in our relationships, and finally in our community. Forgiveness is both deeply personal and profoundly communal. Over the coming weeks we’ll explore scripture, hear stories, sing, reflect, and practice tangible ways to forgive and to be forgiven.

This Sunday we begin with Psalm 32 and ask: What if the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6) is actually the Path to Peace; an invitation to practice forgiveness as a way of reflecting the image of the Living God and embodying the character of Christ?

Forgiveness is often misunderstood as passive or as “cheapening” justice. In this series we’ll explore it as a powerful, deliberate engagement with our divine calling; restorative work that opens the way for healing and hope. We’ll listen, pray, and consider how forgiveness can be a restorative practice that helps rebuild trust and nurture a healthier community.

Whether you are carrying a heavy burden or simply seeking a more hopeful horizon for our nation and world, there is a seat for you here.

Come help us uproot the weeds of the past so we can plant a future of peace together. Bring a friend or neighbor, all are welcome!

Grace and peace, Rev Kev
