Pathways to Gratitude: When Deserts Bloom
When Deserts Bloom
What if fear, scarcity, negativity, and the constant need to succeed are simply illusions—mirages created by the human condition? And what if the places, spaces, and times where we have experienced grace, mercy, and unconditional love are the eternal reality—more than an accidental oasis providing momentary relief?
This Sunday, we explore the eternal, hope-filled promise from Isaiah 35 that causes life to bloom even in the harshest, most unforgiving desert-like places. And we'll see how God shatters the mirage of human-made divisions and judgment, opening our eyes to a boundless, ever unfolding, all enfolding Love (Acts 11).
What if the hope and healing we seek is found right now, on the journey? What if the courage we need is found in the company of others as we unlearn the lifeless, desert-like ways and relearn how to remain confidently fed by the stream of living water rooted and grounded in God’s love?
It all begins by choosing to retrain our brains to see and celebrate the gifts in others, all around us, and even in ourselves.
Thanks be to God!
